To Request Web Space: (College of Agricultural Sciences Students Only)
(Non-Ag or Undecided Majors contact the Web Administrator)
Browse to https://Student.AgSci.ColoState.EDU/WebRequest (Do this only once!!)
and click the “Continue to this website (Not Recommended)”. Log on with your CSU EID username and password (What you use for RamCT).
Contact: Web Administrator for any questions or problems.
To view your webpage: (after you have published your site - See Publishing Instructions)
Browse to http://Student.AgSci.ColoState.EDU/<EName> (Where <EName> is your CSUID EName, do not include the "<" or ">") if you called your file index.html or index.htm
otherwise you need to specify the file name after the above webpage address for your site. I recommend using index.html
(You must use a standard HTML default document name for your homepage i.e. index.html etc.)
Simla/Holly Users - DO NOT INCLUDE THE "public_html" folder itself, just whatever is contained below that.
To Publish Content: (On Campus in the CASLABS Computer Labs)
Publish via Drag-n-Drop: (Back to top)
Go to Start->Run (or press the "Windows" key + "R") and type in \\Giraffe.CASLABS.ColoState.EDU\WebSites\<EName> and click “OK”. (Where <EName> is your CSUID EName - DO NOT include the "<>")
You can now Drag-n-Drop your web files to your website. If your files are located in your "Documents" (same as "My Documents") in your CASLABS account just
browse to wherever they are and Drag-n-Drop. You should be able to browse to your web site thru the internet after copying your files.
If you are on campus but not in the CASLABS computer lab(s), you may have to Map a Network Drive to the above path.
Publish via Dreamweaver (Windows Only NOT CS5): (Back to top)
Either create a new site or edit the old one by clicking Site->Manage Sites… (under the Advanced Tab).
Set up your "Local Info" accordingly, if this is a new site.
It is best if you create a folder in your "My Documents" first (such as "MySite" )before you setup Dreamweaver.
Then click the folder icon to browse for it under the "Local Info"
Click “Remote Info” and set Access: to “Local/Network” and Remote Folder: to \\Giraffe.CASLABS.ColoState.EDU\WebSites\<EName> (Where <EName> is your CSUID EName - DO NOT include the "<>") See Figure 1.
(MAC Users click the folder icon and browse to the share according to the MAC Instructions)

CSU’s Secure Web Site: (MAC Computers Only ) (Back to top)
Here is a Youtube Video created by Lauren Kalash showing how to setup the MAC using the CSU Netconnect instead of the VPN.
Otherwise to use the CSU VPN do the following:
First download and install CSU's VPN Client for MAC here
Run the VPN client and make sure you have the "CSU VPN Profiles" listed (See Figure 5)
If not (Figure 6), go back to here and click the "CSU VPN Profiles" link to download.
Figure 5 (CSU VPN with Profiles)
Figure 6 (CSU VPN without Profiles)
Once you have the profiles (remember where you saved them?) you can click the "Import" button and browse
to where you saved the profiles earlier. Do this for each Profile. (See Figure 7)
Figure 7 (CSU VPN Import Profile)
(Sorry I don't have a MAC to capture Screen shots)
Once you have the VPN running with Profiles, Select the appropriate profile and click the "Connect" button
Sign on with your CSU EID logon. Once the VPN is connected, Open your "Finder" and select the
"GO" menu at the top of your screen. Then select the "Connect to Server". In the box that open up
type "smb://Giraffe.caslabs.colostate.edu/Websites/<yourEName>" (replace the <yourEName> with your ename, do not use the "<>" )
You may wish to click the "Add to Favorites" button so you don't have to remember this next time. Then click OK.
This will open a logon box where you will type in your CASLABS credentials (your computer logon for the CASLABS computers).
This should connect you to your webspace folder. Now you can setup Dreamweaver as above, except you will not use the path given for the "Remote Info" instead
You will click the folder icon to browse to the share "Giraffe.caslabs.colostate.edu/WebSites/<yourEName> where "<yourEName>" is replaced with your ename.
From now on to publish your site with your MAC Computer follow these steps:
